Albert (Abe) N. Goblirsch was born May 24, 1932, in Woodstock, MN to Albert and Stella Goblirsch. He grew up in Dunlap, IA, joined the Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Abe married Mildred (Clare) Sullivan on November 22, 1954, at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, NE. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and was a member of the gallon club at the Red Cross donating blood, a dedicated longtime member of The American Legion for 50 years. If anything was broken or needed fixing he would find a way to fix it and he enjoyed talking and visiting with anyone he met. He was a typesetter by trade and worked at the local newspaper for many years. He is survived by children Peggy (Derek), Mary (Rick), Theresa (Rick), Ann (Paul), and Jim (Kerri); 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; siblings Lucille, Dorothy, and Mary. Abe was preceded in death by son Bill and wife Clare; siblings Monica, Virgil, Genevieve, Linus, Ann, Gregory, Tom, and Jane. The family is most grateful for the gift of friends and family like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during our hours of bereavement.
