Albert Thomas Parry was born in Norway, Kansas on March 6, 1944 to Albert Thomas Parry and Lois Belle (Wall) Parry.

He had 4 older sisters and 1 younger brother. All are deceased except his younger brother. Alberts sister Bonnie was his guardian until her death in October 2012 His friend, Krista Rosentreader, who is his former staff from BSDC, assumed the role as his guardian. Albert attended the state school for the Blind in Kansas City, Kansas from 1951-1957.His family then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and took advantage of the services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Albert attended the LARC School in Lincoln. He moved to BSDC on August 21, 1958 and remained there until his admission to Mosaic of Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska in 2011. Albert resided at Omaha's Papillon ICF-ID in Papillion, Nebraska until his death on October 8th.

Albert leaves behind many friends, staff, and his surrogate family.Albert lived out his retirement on his own terms rocking in his rocking chair, sipping on a cup of coffee while listening to music.
