Ann was born on July 26, 1944, to Ann & John Longshore, in Omaha, NE. She was the eldest, having 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Ann met and later married Terry Lee Mastin, on December 18, 1960. Together, they had 5 children.They were married 52 years at the time of Terry's death, in 2012.
Ann worked at the Short-Stop Restaurant for many years, along with her mother, husband and children. She ran daycare out of her home, then later, opened her own business along with her husband & youngest daughter, Misty. They called it M&M Daycare & Preschool.
Ann loved to go to Bingo, the Casino and most of all, Kino at La Vista Keno. She got to know her keno writers very well & loved to give them little gifts for every holiday. She was a very loving & giving person.
Ann loved the holidays most and would make every holiday super special with all of her unique ways that only she could do. Christmas was her favorite. She would start planning the next years' Christmas in January & loved to shop the entire year for it. She would always have little "surprises" for her kids when they would go to visit her. She would say "Close your eyes and hold out your hands!"
Ann loved to travel. She loved going to Las Vegas, Jackpot Junction, MN and once went to the Bahamas with her husband Terry. They arrived at night & Ann hated it. She told Terry she wanted to go home in the morning. That next morning sheopened the drapes and could see how beautiful it was with the ocean view.They ended up staying until the entire vacation was over.
Ann & Terry had a true Love-Story marriage. Terry doted over her and treated her like the Queen she truly was. Dad passed away in 2012 and mom's heart was broken. Even with her broken heart, she remained strong and enjoyed life until God took her and re-united them again, on March 3rd.
Ann is survived by her children - Cathy (Bryan) Grimsley, Randy (Patty) Mastin, Christy (Jeff Nekuda) Kruse, Rob (Karen) Mastin, Misty (Danny Stilen) Mastin, and Cory (Lindsey Guillion) Mattly; siblings - Jack (Lucy) Longshore, Kenny (Rita) Longshore, Peg (Frank) Jura and Cindy Man; grandchildren - Randy (Melanie), Amy (Chris), Brett (Daniel), Tyler (Sarah), Megan (Josh),Austin (Kailey), Branson (Molly), 13 great-grandchildren & her furry best little friend, Baby the cat.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Terry, her parents John & Ann Longshore, Brothers Dennis Longshore & Tom Longshore, Sister Connie Wynne, her life-long best friend, Joanne McInerney.
