Barbara Jane Gottschalk

Barbara Jane (Jacob) Gottschalk, age 81, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born December 17th, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Harry Melvin Jacob and Harriet Alice (Besst) Jacob.Barbara moved to Papillion, Nebraska in 1975 and lived there until she passed. She traveled all over the world and throughout the United States. She played tennis, was an accomplished quilter and knitter, gifting her quilts to her children, grandchildren, friends and charities. Barbara was a loyal friend. She remained active until her death with her hobbies and many different friend groups. She was most proud of her children and their accomplishments. She loved celebrating holidays with the family.Barbara is survived by her sister Faye Miller, her children Melissa Bowder (husband Mark Bowder), Ret. Lieutenant Colonel Fredrick (Fritz) Gottschalk, Juliet Hall (husband Dennis Hall), her grandchildren Alexis Bowder (husband John Wrobel), Benjamin Bowder, Sydney Lanphear, Abigail Stipetich (husband John Stipetich IV) and her five great grandchildren, Vivian and Ezra Stipetich, Roark and Rowan Wrobel, and Summer Lanphear.
