Passed away in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 86 years. She was born to parents Mikel and Anna Kwiatkowski in Omaha, Nebraska and lived there until March of 2015 when she moved to Loveland to be closer to her daughters.She married Louis Vacek and together they had 4 children: Lou (Janet) VacekCouncil Bluffs, Iowa, Phyllis Nelson (Rick - dec)Loveland, Colorado, Patty Fenner (Rick)of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Tim Vacek (dec).Her life revolved around her faith, her husband and her children. Bernice enjoyed cooking her specialties, camping, flower gardening, Nebraska Football, playing games, traveling with her daughters and to visit her daughters and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis Sr., son Timothy, great grandson KC, 12 brothers and sisters, son-in-law Rick Nelson.Survived by her 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Visitation Thursday, September 15th, after 5:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Friday, September 16th, 11:20 a.m. Bethany Chapel to St. Stanislaus Church for 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment St. John Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials requested to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital or the Notre Dame Sisters of Omaha, Nebraska.
