Born October 21, 1930 in Loup City, Nebraska. She came to Omaha after high school. She loved to draw and paint and was a member of Omaha Artist Association. Bev married Walt S. Zyla on May 13, 1950 and had 10 children. Bev passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Clarkson UNMC Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska from complications during surgery. She was 86 and 6 months. She will be dearly missed by her many family and friends. Bev is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Edward Trompke; brothers Ronald and Gene; and son Charles. She is survived by her husband Walt; children Diane (Fred) Watt, David (Shelly), Lawrence (Gail), Christine (Vern) Muhlbauer, Cheryl (Rick) Flynn, Margaret (Paul) Belfry, Denise (Joe) Synowiecki, Walter II, Cynthia (Dean); daughter-in-law Penny; and 61 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation with family Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church (5219 So. 53rdSt.). Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 1, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials requested to the family.
