Carol Jean Bogacz

Carol Jean (Miller) Bogacz was born July 2, 1953 in Denison, Iowa to Ray and Mary (Petersen) Miller, the youngest of five children.  She was educated in Ida Grove, Iowa and graduated from Schleswig, Iowa High School in 1971.  She then majored in accounting at Dana College in Blair, NE and graduated in 1975.

Carol started working at Kelloggs during her first summer at college and continued there until her retirement in 2007.  She married John Bogacz on May 19, 1984.  They were married for 32 years until his passing; her home always included a cat from George to Phoebe.

Carol served on the Board of Directors of the Kellogg Federal Credit Union from December, 2012 until 2022.  She was board chair from 2019 until 2022.

Carol enjoyed traveling with her husband and with her sisters, Nebraska football and volleyball, and family events.  She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter.

She had a big voice and a bigger heart.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband John Bogacz, step-son John Bogacz, Jr, her parents, brothers-in-law Bob Renner and Dale Jensen, and nephew David Renner.

Survivors include her sisters Patricia Jensen (Larry Nelson) of Tekamah, Virginia Miller of La Vista, Linda Renner of Omaha and brother Dennis Miller (Kathy) of Omaha.  Also surviving are nieces Lisa (Gary) Anderson of Tekamah, Kara (Dan) Taylor of Holdrege, and nephews Michael Renner (Stephanie) and Andrew Miller (Kathy) of Omaha.  Also survived by step-son Robert Bogacz and step granddaughters Jillian and Julia of Florida.
