Carrie Lynn Walls, daughter of George and Hazel (Larson) Ojeski, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 10th, 1946. Following a courageous battle with illness, Carrie found eternal peace on August 12th, 2024.
Carrie, the youngest of four siblings, possessed an indomitable spirit that defined her life. She met the love of her life, Stephen J. Walls and they were married on April 29th, 1963. They started their lives together in Bad Kreuznach, Germany- the beginning of the many adventures they shared. Together for 56 years, they raised three children (Jeanette, Stephen, and Kathleen) and shared their home with countless beloved pets. Their family grew to include 6 cherished grandchildren, bringing immense joy to their lives.
Carrie found joy in life's simple pleasures. Dancing alongside Stephen was one of her favorites. Together, they filled countless evenings with laughter with their local dance group. With a needle and thread in hand, Carrie found solace and creativity. Her handmade quilts were beloved by the family and became treasured keepsakes. Her craftsman ship didn’t end there. She was also quite the seamstress. She made wedding dresses for her daughters, pajamas for her grandchildren, dolls clothes, and more. She also had an eye for interior design, attending many estate sales and always having HGTV on in the background.
Her spirit, strength, and love will continue to inspire us all.
She is preceded in death by parents George and Hazel (Larson) Ojeski; husband Stephen J. Walls; granddaughter Jennifer Bartunek; sister Mary Alice Kavulak; and brother George Ojeski; brother in law Paul Kavulak; sister in law Wendy Ojeski.
She is survived by her children Jeanette (John) Bartunek, Stephen (Tammy) Walls, and Kathleen (Brent) Hodgen; grandchildren Matthew Kerns, Blake Hodgen, Kassandra Hodgen, Noah Bartunek, and Jordan Bartunek; brother Donald R. (Margaret) Ojeski; and many nieces and nephews.
She is finally dancing again with Stephen in a place of eternal peace.
