Salazar de Jacinto, Catalina. April 08, 1943 – October 20, 2021. Catalina Salazar de Jacinto, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Catalina was born in 1943 in El Refugio, Guanajuato, Mexico. She moved with her husband and children to Omaha, Nebraska in 1989.
Catalina married Bartolo in 1962. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Her home was the center of love and affection for the family. She was known for making highly flavorful mole. Catalina was the fun aunt that all her nephews and nieces enjoyed visiting. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than her grandchildren. She was proud of every single one. They all remember her with great endearment. Particularly because they never went un-fed while visiting her and were spoiled with love.
Catalina was preceded in death by her dear husband, Bartolo Jacinto Serrano, her son in law, Armando Mares Ponce, and grandson Armando Mares Jacinto.
She is survived by her sons and daughters, Baudelia (Frank), Julia, Ramona (Reyes), Jose (Erika), Isela (Cruz), Pilar (Eliseo), Salvador, Nazareth (Gazpar); her grandson who was her primary caregiver, Axel as well as 25 more grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
