Charles "Chuck" D. Porter
November 20, 1947 — November 14, 2021
He was born in Detroit, Michigan.He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and at Omaha receiving his PHD degree in 1999.He had a successful teaching career of 32 years at OPS, Nathan Hale Middle School teaching science.He also coached wrestling, basketball and track.He taught science courses part-time at Metropolitan Community College for many years.His love for sports continued throughout his life playing softball, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf and bowling.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles A. Porter, mother Jean C. Porter and brother Jack Porter.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, son Trent Larson, daughter Lynn Kathol and 4 grandchildren.Siblings Craig, Mark (Penny), Scott, Candace (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.
