age 91, rural Underwood, IA Preceded in death by parents, wife Bertha, two grandchildren, all of his siblings, and several nieces and nephews. survived by children James and wife Barbara - AZ Milton - Clatskanie, OR Max and wife Sandy - Crete, NE Billy and wife Phyllis - Underwood, IA Kenneth and wife Carolyn - Fullerton, NE Katherine Hammer and husband Arnold - Portland, OR 11 grandchildren Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren Raised in rural North Dakota. Moved with wife and young family to Omaha area during early years of WWII, having taken a job at the Glenn L. Martin Bomber Plant in Bellevue, NE. In the years following the war, he worked for Sensation Mower, LeBron Electric, and T.S. McShane, before founding Klaudt Machine Company in 1952. He continued to operate the machine shop until his retirement. He and his wife lived in Gretna, NE for several years following his retirement, and he moved to rural Pottawattamie County, IA in 1995 to live with his son and family. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
