Whitey is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Sophie Duracinski; son Lee Duracinski; and granddaughter Miranda Hadnot.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine Duracinski; children Sue (Ron) Hadnot, Steve (Denise) Duracinski, and Jon (Paula) Duracincki; grandchildren Katie (Chris) Blanco, Greg (Adrienne) Duracinski, Adam (Kelly) Duracinski, Nyssa (Wendy) Hadnot, Connor Duracinski, Chase (Lisa Eccles) Duracinski, and Josh (Adrianne) Klein; and great – grandchildren Zach, Tristan, Sofia, Chance, Anna, Luke, Miller, Cooper, Sienna, Brandon, and Mallory.
Whitey was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of the American Legion Post #373 in Ralston, Nebraska. He retired after 36 years of being with Union Pacific.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the family to be used toward Alzheimer's reseach.
