The beautiful life of Deborah (Debbi) Dugger

Debbi was the daughter of Bernie and Fern Scigo. She was born on July 22nd, 1955 in Omaha, NE. Debbi had two older siblings, Danny and Patty and one younger sister Bernedette (Buni). Debbi was proud to have grown up in South Omaha. She attended St. Peter and Paul and graduated from Omaha South High in 1973.

Debbi met the love of her life, Steven Dugger, in 1977. They married in 1978 and had two beautiful children, Kristine and Steven. In their 41 years of marriage, they shared a special bond and interest over the Kansas City Royals. As a young couple to grandparents, they loved to carry on the tradition of driving down to Kansas City for baseball games. Not only did they enjoy baseball, they road tripped. A lot of times with her mother, Fern. Every daughter has a unique bond with their mother. Debbi and Fern were best friends.

One of Debbi's most proud moments was becoming a grandmother. She had four grandchildren - Jordin, Kennedy, Kason and Keegan. They were her everything. She placed a vital role in their upbringing. Jordin and her shared a very special bond of drawing. Jordin always had to show her grandmother her latest drawing. Debbi always got Jordin's creative thinking. Kennedy and Debbi were bonded by their middle name. Every time Kennedy would come to visit, she had to make sure grandma had her bunny to make her feel better. Kason, her only grandson, put a unique smile on her face. He reminded her of her son. Kason always made sure grandma got the biggest kiss and hug from him. Then little Keegan. Debbi and Keegan spent a lot of time snuggling on the couch. Keegan always had to play with grandma's special pens. When grandma would step away, Keegan would quickly go over to the pens and grab her favorite color, pink. When grandma would come back, Keegan would show her the pen and say, "Pink." This always made Debbi smile and laugh. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.

When individuals met Debbi for the first time, they all would say how delightful she was. Debbi always had a smile on her face. She wasn't afraid to talk to a stranger or hug a vietnam vet. Once you got to know her, you experienced her kindness. Her love for her husband, her children and her grandchildren. There wasn't a day that would go by where she didn't discuss her children's accomplishments. The world was a better place having Debbi here. She touched many lives especially working as a registrar at Children's Hospital for twenty-three years.

Debbi lived life day by day, moment by moment. Life was precious to her, always saying, "You never know when your time will come." Unfortunately, her time was cut short on April 26th.

Debbi is preceded in death by her father, Bernie Scigo; brother, Danny; mother-in-law, Jeannette.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; daughter, Kristine Foley (Dave); son Steven Dugger (Lisa); her mother, Fern Scigo; sisters Pat Roth (Mike) and Buni McGinnis; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
