Diane Zych

May 20, 1944 — September 29, 2021

Diane Zych, 77, went to be with the Lord while in the comfort of her home on September 29, 2021 after a long six year battle with multiple myeloma. A special thank you to her oncology team (Ascension Via Christi, Wellington, KS) and Hospice Nurses (Heartland Hospice, Wichita, KS) for all their gifts in providing premium care and support during her fight.

Diane was born on May 20, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Sebastian (dec) and Rita Catania.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Zych and son, Kevin Zych.

Surviving family is her sister Patricia (Walt) Sobczyk; children, Timothy Zych and Marilyn Targos (Rodney); grandsons, Corey Targos (Annie), Brandon Zych (Grace), Joseph Targos (Sarah) and Matthew Targos (Paige); great grandchildren Jack, Ryker, Cecilia, Mylah, Mark Targos', Liliana and Elijah Zych, Adriana Nieto; nephews Andrew (Sara) Sobczyk & Benjamin (Nichole) Sobczyk. Special friend for over 20 years, David Bartunek.

Diane was blessed with lots of family and friends that kept her busy.She was known as "Nonna" or "Nana" to her grandchildren and enjoyed attending many church festivals, playing on her phone (like a millennial), Italian food, reading books and we will miss watching Husker Football with her!GBR!

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used in accordance with Diane's wishes.
