Donna was born on July 31, 1932 in Ashland, Nebraska, the daughter of Karl and Lula Folsom, the second born of six children.
She spent her childhood in Ashland and attended school at the Ashland Public School living most of her younger life there.At the early age of 17 she gave birth to her first born, a daughter, Jacqueline. Later she met and married Floyd Jordan and moved to Gretna and to this union was born two sons, Randall (Moe) and Thomas.After the death of her husband she moved to Omaha where she resided for many years and later married John Booker, and to this union two sons, Steven and Douglas were born.
Donna worked at several professions but finally found her calling as an exceptional waitress at Anthony's and Ross' Steakhouse in Omaha where she spent many years with many regulars requesting her by name.
She enjoyed going to bingo, keno and occasionally taking a chance at the casino and having social time including a beer with friends or family.And for the last few years of her life she found comfort with her cat named "Kitty" who she was extremely fond of.She loved a good word search book which she worked on diligently every day.
Unfortunately, she was stricken with dementia and was moved into an assisted living facility where she resided for the last few years. Although she didn't always remember her family, she was always glad to see who came to visit while her daughter and sons tried to keep her memory alive.She was a great mother, grandmother and dear sister and will be remembered fondly by lots of friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Lula Folsom; her son, Douglas Booker, her grandson Kristopher Booker; two sisters JoAnn and Gloria; and her brother Gary.
Donna is survived by her daughter Jackie (Rich) Whitehill; her sons, Randy (Cindy) Jordan; Tom (Melissa) Jordan; Steve (Barb) Booker; 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren; her sister Kay (Al) Schwindt; her brother Lonnie (Elaine) Folsom and many nieces and nephews.
