age 61, May 6, 2011 Dorothy was born April 21, 1950, the youngest of 4 children born to Maurice and Anna Bonne. She grew up on a farm near David City, NE and graduated with Glen Franta from David City Public High School. After graduating from UNL, Dorothy and Glen were married August 21, 1971 and then moved to LaVista. Together they raised 3 children; Jennifer, Jonathan, and James. Dorothy was a stay-at-home Mom while she worked at night selling Home Interiors for 25 years and then worked for the Papillion-LaVista Schools for 13 years. Her favorite memories were of times spent as a room mother, a high school band trip sponsor to Washington DC for the presidential inauguration, and feeding the UNL band every home football game Saturday for 3 years. She was especially happy that all 3 of her kids got to go to Europe and all 3 earned college degrees. She loved to bake and decorate special cakes and share her artistic talents at school.
