Dorothy passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 96 years. She was born Tuesday, September 23, 1924 in Redfield, South Dakota.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Findley and later husband Jim Edwardson; parents Claude and Charlotte Hufteling; daughter Toni Brnich; step-son Tom Edwardson; brothers Clayton Hufteling, Richard Hufteling, and Robert Hufteling; and her sister Edith Dale Hufteling.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Harold) Knapp; step-daughter Christy (Peter) Forshay; grandchildren Frank (Cheri) Brnich, Jerry (Sue) Knapp, Chris (Jen) Brnich, Jeanne (Darie) McCleaves, Jaysun (Ruthie) Brnich, Erin Brnich, Jeff (Kasie) Knapp, Peter Forshay, Katherine Toomey, Laura Forshay, and Carl Edwardson; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ruth (Clayton †) Hufteling; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

Private family inurnment at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society.
