age 94 years, of Papillion, Nebraska Born in Grand Island, NE on August 15, 1921, the daughter of Edward W. Lechner and Meta (Pepper) Lechner, she passed away at the Papillion Manor, Papillion, NE. She attended school in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island High School in 1939. After graduation she worked for the telephone company as an operator and then as a telephone repair clerks secretary. Elizabeth was married to Howard Gulzow August 21, 1940. They resided in Grand Island until 1952 when they moved to Potter, NE. where they lived for 46 years. In 1998 she moved to the Wellington Retirement Village in Papillion, where she lived for 17 years. She is a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, being confirmed at St. Pauls Church in Grand Island. While in Potter she was a Sunday School Superintendent for many years, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a member of the WELCA and held numerous offices in it and was a member of the What-So-Ever-Club. In Papillion she sang in the Trinity Lutheran Choir, and took part in many activities at the Wellington. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Howard of 56 years; infant daughter Sandra Emmaleen; her parents; 1 sister; and 3 brothers. Survived by her daughter Sharlyce and son-in-law Jack ButlerPapillion; granddaughter Traci Brown (Andy Horn); great granddaughter Francesa Elizabethall of Kansas City, MO; grandson Travis BrownBennington, NE; sister-in-law Lorraine OcampoGrand Island, NE; beloved nieces, nephews, friends, step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
