Elizabeth A. "Lisa" Gibilisco

February 8, 1970 — December 28, 2016

age 46 years, of Bellevue, Nebraska. Lisa passed away unexpectedly December 28th after a brief illness with the flu. She had taught the past 20 years with the Omaha Public Schools and had been currently teaching at King Science Center. The importance of reading was the goal she instilled to her students, although she had little time to sit down and read herself. Lisa treated her students as if they were her own children and was blessed in finding her calling so early in life. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her father Ron and grandparents. Survived by mother JoAnn Gibilisco; brother Bob Gibilisco; sisters Peggy Kusy and Ann (Mike) Perl; beloved nieces and nephews Jon, Erik, Hayden, and Morgan Kusy, Matt and Alex Perl; great nephew Cole Kusy. Visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (7600 S. 42nd) Thursday, January 5th, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with Vigil Service 6:30 p.m. all at the church. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 6th, 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment St. John Cemetery. Memorials requested to St. Bernadette Catholic Church or Gross Catholic High School.
