age 88 years, of Omaha, Nebraska.Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ella was born in Lamoine, Maine to John and Josephine Moore. On August 29, 1947 she wed Thaxter Davis in Ellsworth, Maine.She was preceded in death by her husband Thaxter and son Terry Davis. Survived by sons Gary (Pam) of Omaha, Nebraska and David Davis of Denver, Colorado; daughter-in-law Jan Davis; grandchildren Aimee DavisStrange (Shaun), Kellie Wesslund (Mark), Catherine Davis (Dustin Hurt), Matt Davis (Anna), and Kim Dixon (Josh Branson); great-grandchildren Alex, Cooper and Easton Wesslund, Arthur Carter, Justin Dixon, Wyatt Branson, Oliver Davis and Olivia Strange.Family was Ella's highest priority and their home was where kids gathered after school. Ella was a proud, supportive military wife. The family lived in several states and traveled Europe extensively while stationed in Germany. Upon military retirement, Thaxter enjoyed a real estate career in Bellevue, Nebraska; she was by his side and his biggest cheerleader. Their retirement home was Beaver Lake, Nebraska for 17 years. Walnut Grove Retirement Community in Omaha was her last home. Ever faithful, she will be remembered as kind-hearted, with a great sense of humor. Visitation Thursday, February 9th, 10:00 a.m.12:00 noon Bethany Funeral Home. Private interment at Oak Hill CemeteryPlattsmouth, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Nebraska Humane Society, and the Omaha Community Playhouse.
