Elsie Mae Frogge, age 89 passed away on July 13, 2020 in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Elsie Mae was born on May 4, 1931, the 5th of 12 children born to German immigrants, Tobias and Elsie DeVries. She attended school in Arapahoe and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1949.She worked for the ASCS office in Elwood from 1950 until 1953.She married Richard Russell Frogge on December 6, 1953.During their marriage, they lived in Lincoln, McCook and Grand Island, Nebraska.They had four children James, Jeana, Scott and Sonia.Elsie Mae was a bookkeeper for many years.While her children were growing up, she was a Den Leader for Boy Scouts, taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School and volunteered at many school music, band and athletic events.Later, she was honored to serve as a visitor for the United Methodist Churches in McCook and Grand Island.She was active in Women's Bible Study and enjoyed the many years she served as an adopted grandmother, reading to children at Westlawn Elementary School in Grand Island near her home.

Elsie Mae loved her family and enjoyed family Holidays and reunions.Known as Minna to her grandchildren, she enjoyed baking and her cinnamon rolls were a family favorite.Elsie Mae never turned down a cup a coffee and her favorite meal was breakfast, especially if it meant going out for brunch.

Elsie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 36 years, Richard, sisters Mary Bockerman and Phyllis Alexander, brothers Carl, Wayne, Jack and Charles DeVries, sisters-in-law Marilyn DeVries and Diane DeVries and brothers-in-law Robert Frogge, Raymond Bockerman, Stanley Alexander and Harry Wilson.

Jeana and Peter Svoboda of Papillion,
Scott and Mary Jane Frogge of Lincoln and
Sonia and Jeffrey Robins of Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

Barbara Franklin, Bradley Frogge, James A. and Tonia Frogge, Lauricia and Sheldon Epp, Victoria Frogge, Mallory Torres, Richard Svoboda,
Laurel Frogge,
Ethan and Chloe Robins

8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
