He is survived by his children Leslie (Jerry) Pivovar, Jim (Janice) Lisko, Vicky (Tom) Walz, Lori (Mike) Gordon; grandchildren Michael (Shannon) Pivovar, T.J. (Carolyn) Walz, Mitch (Brittany) Narney, Paige (Michael) Ozmun, Alise (Phillip) Nguyen, Amanda Gordon; great grandchildren Lyla Pivovar, Jaxson Pivovar, Jude Walz, Mary Walz, Luke Walz, Annie Walz, Maddie Jo Narney, Mason Narney, Brayden Gordon, Kennedy Ozmun and Bennett Ozmun; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Gene ("Geno") was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He spent his career working as a production/television engineer at WOWT-TV. He had a passion for sports and games including golf (five holes-in-one), tennis, ping pong, horse racing, keno, casino games, poker, cribbage and many other card games. He was a handyman, remodeling the four rental homes he owned. He enjoyed gardening and playing pool. Most of all, Gene was a man who deeply loved his family and shared with them his love for the Lord and the power of prayer.
Memorials have been directed to St. Gerald Catholic Church.
