Gerard P. Wemhoff, Papillion, died peacefully on October 2, 2020.Gerard was born on November 14,1926 in Humphrey, Nebraska, the third youngest of 15 children born to Theodore and Mary (Wieser) Wemhoff.He graduated from Humphrey High School in 1944.He married Marcella (Marci) Kobza on June 13, 1964.He was proud to have graduated in 1968 at the age of 42 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.Gerard was a farm manager, real estate broker, real estate developer, purveyor of agrarian tools and machinery antiquities, and collector of horse drawn sleighs and buggies.His yearning and passion were always the farm and hard work.He loved his Catholic faith and attended mass daily. After Marci passed, he moved from the farm in 2016 to New Cassel Retirement Center in Omaha where he made many wonderful friends.Never one to let the proverbial grass grow under foot, his zeal and enthusiasm for life took him on a cruise to Cuba and for a ride in a B-17 at the age of 91.Gerard's family was important to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.He took great pride in his grandchildren Nicole, Emily, Jon and Colton and enjoyed spending time with them.Gerard loved Marci's home-made pies and John Deere tractors.He was preceded in death by his fourteen brothers and sisters and is survived by his son Mark (Donella) Seminole, Oklahoma, son Doug (Dee) Kansas City, Missouri, his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
