Harvey Lee Bullie was born in Jackson, Mississippi on August 23, 1945. The middle son of three boys born to the late Willie and Jessie Mae Bullie.
After high school, Harvey attended Jackson State University for a while before enlisting into the United States Air Force.
In 1975, while stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, Harvey met the love of his life Carrie Mae. On July 21, 1978, Harvey and Carrie married and transferred to Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Together they raised two sons and one daughter Alex, Shane and Adrienne. Harvey retired from the Air Force in 1985 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Harvey then went onto his second career with the Papillion-LaVista School District as Supervisor of Distribution and Transportation.
Harvey was a member of Trinity Hope Foursquare Church in Omaha, Nebraska, where he served as treasurer for the past 15 years. Harvey was also a strong, guiding hand at The North Omaha Good News Bears until health issues arose.
Harvey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a warm smile and caring ways, which will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Harvey leaves to cherish and celebrate his life a loving devoted wife of 42 years, Carrie Bullie; Children Alex (Teri) Murphy of Omaha, NE, Shane Bullie of Glenwood, IA and Adrienne (John) Shimkus of Bemidji, MN; Brother Lonzo (Barbara) Bullie of Tuskegee, AL; cousin but more like a brother Johnnie (Patricia) Bennett of Papillion, NE; 16 grandchildren, many first cousins, nieces and nephews.
Harvey was proceeded in death by his father Willie Bullie, mother Jessie Mae Bullie and brother Robert Bullie. Cousins; Legertha Bullie, Sammie Bullie and Mary Louise.
