She was born in Omaha August 20, 1919 to James and Mildred Cavlovic. She was married for 29 years to Edward F. Mickells, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong Omaha resident and member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edward F. Jr. and Adrienne L. Mickells of Overland Park, KS; two grandsons, Geoffrey E. Mickells, M.D. of Chicago, IL, Daniel F. Mickells of Lincoln, NE; brother and sister�in-law Stephen and Mary Lou Cavlovic of Omaha. She is also survived by sisters-in law Eleanor Cavlovic, Rosemary Cavlovic and Frances Mickells, by over 40 nieces and nephews and their families, and innumerable friends and acquaintances.Also preceding Helen in death were her parents James and Mildred Cavlovic; sisters Mary Merwald and Mildred Vail; brothers John Cavlovic and Michael Cavlovic. Helen attended Omaha South High School and was employed by the Jubilee Horn Company and the Wilson Packing Company before she took time off to raise her family. In 1964, she returned to work as noon time cashier and bookkeeper for the Bohemian Caf�, where she was employed until 2008. Known far and wide as �Aunt Helen,� she was instantly recognizable as the �lady with the beehive hairdo from the Bohemian Caf� by many beloved friends and acquaintances.
