He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a long time member of the Millard VFW, and served as Commander of the Ralston American Legion. In addition, he was an active member of St. Gerald�s Knights of Columbus. Ivan and Cora enjoyed the annual meetings of the alumni of the USS Markab, the destroyer tender on which he served. He retired from his mechanical job at Campbell�s Soup, where he also served as the union steward. Visitation with family Friday, January 24th, after 6:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Saturday, January 25th, 10:00 a.m. St. Gerald Catholic Church (96th and Q St). Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors by the Ralston American Legion Honor Guard. Memorials requested to the Ralston American Legion.
