He is survived by his granddaughter Leila Rose Rankin and his best furry companion Bartek.
Jacek brought his family (wife Ewa and 2 1/2 year old son, Rafal) to the United States in 1983 to avoid living under the Communist regime in Poland.They first lived in Grand Island, then moved to Omaha where he started his career with the US Postal Service.He retired from USPS in February 2016 after 21 years of service as an Electronics Technician.Jacek, Ewa and Raf enjoyed traveling many different places throughout the world.Jacek enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica.He was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed classic rock and blues music, working in his garden and spending time with his grand daughter, Leila.He was inseparable from his loyal, devoted dog, Bartek.He was a friend of Bill W and had five years of sobriety.
Memorial have been directed by the family to The Polish Home, Omaha Humane Society and the Town and Country Humane Society.
