He was born to the late Herbert and Mary Sullivan on September 6, 1933 in Imogene, Iowa. He graduated from Shenandoah (IA) High School in 1951 and married Peggy J. Trively on September 8, 1953. They settled in Bellevue in 1959 to raise their family. Jacob was preceded in death by his wife Peggy; great-grandson Xavier Mrsny; son Phillip M. "Flip" Sullivan; brothers Eugene Sullivan and John Sullivan; sisters Charlotte Sims, Eileen Skropka, and Margaret Bonwell. He is survived by his children Deb (Dave) Mrsny - Omaha, Donna "Joanie" Stroud (Sonny Weber) - New Holstein, WI, Tony Sullivan (Adam Reinhard) - Jacksonville, FL, Kathy (Dan) KrutinaBellevue; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Herbert SullivanSantee, CA; many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Visitation Monday, January 18th, after 4:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Tuesday, January 19th, 9:20 a.m. Bethany Funeral Home Chapel to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (36th and X St) for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. John Cemetery - Bellevue, Nebraska. Military honors by American Legion Post 331 Honor Guard.
