age 68 years, of Omaha, Nebraska Surrounded by his family, James Lynn Somers passed away peacefully after a seven year battle with colon cancer. He was a loving husband, wise father and high spirited grandfather, and had a generous soul. He will be missed from the this world by so many who loved him. Jim blessed so many people with his laugh, his smile and his zest for life. He had a positive impact with people and was always willing to help anyone. His wife and children considered him a best friend. Survived by his wife Bette Somers; children Mike (MaryAnn), Teresa (Garry), Angela (Dan), Cathy (Greg), and Melissa (Chad); grandchildren Whitney, Matthew, Nicholas, Kelsie, Hailey, Jalen, Kenadie, sam, Kaite, Kaiden, Isaac, Owen, Luke, Alayna, and Sophie; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation Wednesday, July 22nd, after 4:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 23rd, 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (102nd and Blondo Streets). Entombment St. John Cemetery.
