Danette Lynch
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched so many lives.
Janet had a love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and gardening. Everyone enjoyed her many different types of pickles that she canned herself. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and butterflies fluttering around her beautiful flower gardens. An avid crocheter, she created countless treasured pieces for her family and friends. She loved to bake fresh baked kolaches, cinnamon rolls, and apple pies of which she was famously known for in the family.
For many years, Janet was also a cherished member of a close-knit group of friends known as the Birthday Club, where laughter, love, and lifelong memories were shared.
Mom had a big heart and opened her home to friends and family over the years. She and Dad were known for the place to stay. Her brother, Elwin, fondly presented Mom and Dad an award for outstanding performance in operating the LaVista Bed and Breakfast and graciously greeting their relatives and guests with a warm welcome and providing a warm bed and great food at no expense to their guests. He lovingly added that only time and age will tell how long they can keep up that pace.
Above all, her greatest joy was her family who will forever hold her love in their hearts.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love, laughter, and gentle spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Richard Cuba; parents Anton and Clara Osentowski; sister Lorraine Stout; brother Kenneth Osentowski.
She is survived by her children Danette (Jeffrey) Lynch, Diana (Michael) Larsen, and David (Kalleen) Cuba; grandchildren Kathryn, Renee, Nathan, Michaela, Shane, Derek, Kolton, and Taylor; 9 great grandchildren; brothers Elwin Osentowski and Lucien Osentowski; and many more family and friends.
Memorial can be directed to the Cuba Family.
