Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Eda Peterson. He is survived by his son Ryan Peterson; brothers LeRoy F. (Leslie) Peterson, Tommie L. (Colleen) Peterson, Jack L. (Lori) Peterson; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Jimmie proudly served in the US Army as a combat veteran from 1969-1972. Including a tour of duty in Vietnam & was honorably discharged. His career included managing the Fine Jewelry Department for Brandeis Department Store, and opening and managing the Fine Jewelry Department in Des Moines, IA. He was also a sales representative for the Automotive Aftermarket and Home Construction. He received numerous awards and recognitions from his employees thru the years. He also belonged to many organizations including the Pheasants Forever, American Legion and the Mid-West Antique Auto Club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, dancing, motorcycles and restoring his 51 Chevy convertible. Memorials can be given to the charity of your choice. Burial to take place at a later date with Military Honors at Pleasant Cemetery in Ruby, Nebraska.
