John S. Stankawich

December 11, 1950 — October 22, 2015

age 64 years, of Omaha, Nebraska. John had a long and fulfilling career with Raders Office Supply for over 25 years. This was followed by 19 years with Service Corporation International. John was loved by his many long-time friends, and known for his big heart, bigger than life good natured personality and integrity. He will be sincerely missed by many. Preceded in death by mother Elizabeth (Welch) Stankawich and father John Stankawich Sr.Survived by partner of 40 years Steve Sheldon; sisters Lois (Ron) Rogers and JoAnn Rader; several nephews, a niece, and many friends. Visitation with family Tuesday, October 27th, 5:007:00 p.m. Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 28th, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (32nd Ave. and Frances St). Interment later at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Josie Harper Hospice House.
