A loving, spirited and courageous woman, Joyce passed away on April 10th due to complications associated with Parkinson's disease. She lived life on her own terms and passed that way too: at her home with her family by her side. Joyce enjoyed life, loved children, animals and nature, and always enjoyed a good prank. She was born on tax day, April 15th, in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul and Marcella (Hazuka) Gibilisco. She graduated from Creighton University. Joyce married Art Burbach in 1963 and together they raised three children. As a science teacher, Joyce shared her love of nature with children throughout the city.She is survived by her children: Jackie McGill (Kerry Christensen), John and Michelle (Beckers) Burbach, and Joann Burbach;three grandchildren: Brandon, Grant, and Gabrielle.She ispreceded in death by her husband,parents, and two brothers Ron and Paul.Visitation Tuesday, April 15th, after 5:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Wednesday, April 16th, 11:00 a.m. Bethany Funeral Home Chapel to St. Bernadette Catholic Church (7600 S. 42nd St) for 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
