Joyce Lee Cockerill (Luenenborg)

Joyce Cockerill passed from this life in Plattsmouth, NE. She was a life long resident of Nebraska, graduating from Millard High School and living most of her life as the wife of a Sarpy County farmer, her husband Bill. Together they ran a commercial feedlot as well as the Dew Drop Inn in Springfield while raising 2 sons, Dave and Steve. In later years, they ran a trucking business along with Steve. After the loss of her husband, she lived in retirement homes in Louisville and Plattsmouth until her death.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Margaret Luenenborg; loving husband
William R. Cockerill; sister Beverly Erskine and son Steven M. Cockerill.

She is survived by her son Dr. David W. (Elizabeth) Cockerill; grandchildren John D., Kathryn A. (Petras), Nathan J., Jennifer L. and Emily J. Cockerill; great-grandsons William R. and Joshua K. Patras; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
