Kenneth E. Herman, age 99, was born on June 18, 1924, in Buck Grove, Iowa and passed away in Bellevue, Nebraska on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Kenneth was preceded in death by parents Bertram M. and Johanna (Loehr) Herman; brothers John R . Herman, Harold J. Herman; wives Charlotte M. Herman and Margaret L. (Andersen Hofmeister) Herman; daughter Janice L. Nelson; son-in-law Daniel J. Gustafson; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Herman and Priscilla Herman. He is survived by brother Edward M. Herman; sisters-in-law Connie Herman and Irene Herman; stepson Thomas W. Morgan; children Susan J. Gustafson and Daniel J. (Rebecca) Herman; grandchildren Thadeus P. (Renee) Nelson, Anna K.Benz, Joseph M. (Jahnavee) Bogner, Jordan M. (Paige) Herman, Jonathan R. Herman; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews, and cousins; stepchildren Deanna (Michael) Powell, Donna (Harland) Krambeck, Sonny (Mary) Hofmeister; step-grandchildren Chrissy Powell, Debby Powell, Jonathan (Melissa) Powell, Shawn (Sara) Petru, Scott (Debbie) Petru, Ashley (Matt) Turner, John (Beth) Hofmeister; eleven step-great-grandchildren. Kenneth was a graduate of the University of Omaha and the University of Idaho, BS in Forest Management; 51-year resident of the State of Washington. Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps March 8, 1943 to February 5, 1946 — serving in World War II from Nov 19, 1944, to October 29, 1945, Northern Solomon Islands, Philippine Islands, Okinawa.
