Our dad raised our family in Albuquerque, NM where he was a proud Union Plumber until retiring. He praised us when we did well and a swift hand to keep us on the straight and narrow. He took time to teach us how to Polka which remained a life-long love.
His love for the horse and dog races helped to keep the lights on at the track. It was a right of passage in our family to go to the track for the first time with Poppa and have him place our first $2 bet.
Our Poppa is a quiet, soft-spoken man with a great ability of letting you know how much trouble you were in with just a look, but you always knew the enormous amount of love he gave us all every day.
His laughter and smile are unique and always abundant during his afternoons shared with Brayden, Emma, and Dakota.
He loves the Arizona sun and heat, and always has a few extra French fries for his puppies, Hollister, 50 and Sorrell.
What our family would give to hear just one more time the phrases our dad and Poppa made iconic "Poopy Doopy Do" and "Okie Dokie"
Our rock, our foundation, the one that taught us all to love one another and be kind, like he did throughout his life, will be greatly missed but always in our hearts.
