Lewis Lc Gerloff

Lewis Lutjen Christian Gerloff passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 50. He was born February 19th, 1974 in Ottumwa, Iowa. The beloved son of Lewis L. Gerloff and Twila Garside Gerloff, he graduated from Cardinal High School in Eldon, Iowa May 1992. He earned an Associate Degree from the Computer Systems/Networking Program through Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa in 1997. This began a long career at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska working for various government contractors.

Lewis married Amy Liess June 30, 2007. Lewis loved his family and loved his country with all of his heart. He loved making people laugh, and reminiscing about memories special to him, and us.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Gerloff, sons Ryan Gerloff, Eric Gerloff, step daughter Morgan Stohlman, his mother, Twila Foster, Dad Charles Foster, brother Dale Gerloff and his son Lewis, brother Joe Foster (Mandy) and children Mason, Audrey, Charlotte, Penelope, uncle Bill (Carol) Garside, aunts Heather (Roger) Pearson, aunt Amber Leasure, aunt Joyce Garside, uncle Gerald Gerloff (Kum ok), aunt Judy Reed, and numerous cousins, and lifelong friendships with coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his father Lewis L. Gerloff, paternal grandparents George and Leta Beenken Gerloff, maternal grandparents Dale and Winifred Linford Garside, grandparents Howard and Theresa Snyder Foster, uncles Marvin Dale Leasure, Dale Garside Jr., cousin Matthew Dale Leasure, uncle Garry (Sherry) Gerloff, uncle Olen Gerloff, uncle Will Reed, beloved pet Lucy.
