Louise C. Galloway

July 20, 1927 — October 28, 2018

Louise Galloway was born Louise Fucinaro, July 20, 1927, in Ralston, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Michele and Teresa (Pagnano) Fucinaro.

Raised in a small house next to the railroad tracks, Louise had 5 sisters and 2 brothers.Louise was about right in the middle of the group. She graduated from South High School in Omaha, in 1945.She went to work at Cudahy packing plant working in the office. It was there that she met Bob.She always liked telling the story of the beginning of their courtship.Apparently, Bob had asked another employee to ask Louise if she would go out with him.Louise politely said that if that "cute little guy" wanted to go out with her, he should ask her himself.Obviously, he did and the rest is history.

Bob and Louise were married on November 6, 1948, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Omaha. They had two darling daughters, Diane and Debbie, and raised them in their modest home on 41st and ‘W' Street.Their house was quite small, but always full of love and friends.Saturday night dinners were a tradition, and always included many extended family and friends.Louise always said "there is always room for one more".

Her family grew throughout the years.Six grandchildren:Kim, Cari, Jim, Amanda, Melissa, and Allie. From there, it has grown to ten great-grandchildren: Zach, Jake, J.T., Paige, Tyler, Keenan, Taylor, Gavin, Noah, and Leo.

Louise brought love and joy to everyone - whether it was family, friends, old or new. Many things made Louise, Louise – her never-ending faith by saying her rosary daily, and twice if someone needed prayers; her generous ways by giving a dollar to the kids when she saw them just because they were kids; and giving a bag of M & M's every time someone got a haircut. But most of all, Louise had a beautiful smile that never ended. She made each day a special day, happy to just be part of it.She made the best of every situation no matter how difficult it was, and always taught all who knew her that "it doesn't cost a dime to smile".
That was Louise. She will missed by all of us.
