In Loving Memory of Marion C. Kleyla
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion C. Kleyla at the age of 89.
Marion was born on June 8, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ernest and Florence Schmidt.
Marion's cousin introduced her future husband (Jack) at a dance at Peony Park. Marion and Jack were married for 66 years.
Marion was known for her strong will, dedication to family and her compassion for taking in stray animals, which is a family trait that is continued today by all her children.
As a devoted mother of four, she instilled in her children a profound appreciation of right and wrong, and by her example taught them how to be responsible, caring and loving adults.
During her life, Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a source of joy and warmth. Let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, creativity and dedication. Though she may no longer be with us, her love and spirit will always remain in our hearts.
Preceded in joining the Lord, Marion's parents, Ernest and Florence Schmidt, her sisters, Sr. Roberta J. Schmidt, and Alyce Marie Brodersen, a grandson, Daniel Cook, and her husband, John (Jack) Kleyla.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Dave) Huff, B. Michael (Vickie) Kleyla, Karen (Larry) Cook, Mark (Leslie) Kleyla; and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and her latest adopted stray kitty, KC.
