Lt.Col, USAF, (Retired), age 90 years, of La Vista, NE.Marvin was a graduate of Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He had a distinguished military career including service in WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam War. He also served at the Pentagon in the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was Director of Reconnaissance for Intelligence at SAC Headquarters. After 31 years in the military, Marvin retired and became active in La Vista local government serving on the City Council and on the Planning Commission for over 30 years. He was an active member of Kiwanis, Optimists, VFW, American Legion, and MOAA.Survived by his wife of 62 years Patricia; son Joe (Becky) Carcich; daughter Cathleen (Kevin) Patton; grandchildren Ashley Patton and Sean Patton; sister Barbara Puch; many nieces and nephews.Visitation Friday, May 29th, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. with Rosary Service 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 30th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church - Papillion, NE. Memorials requested to the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
