Mary Lyn Wagner (Rawlings)

March 29, 1947 — May 17, 2024

Mary Lyn Wagner (Rawlings) was born and raised in Nebraska City, Nebraska.

She had a love of horses at an early age and participated in local equine events growing up in Nebraska City. She later moved to the Omaha, Nebraska area and continued with her local horse shows with both Nebraska Pinto and Paint Associations, the Pony Express Riders of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and other local Horse clubs. She has won numerous State and National titles in Nebraska and Kansas in the last five decades. She was also involved in showing dogs in the ‘70’s with AKC Dobermans and later started to breed AKC Australian Shepherds and continued raising them for many decades.

She started working at the hospital in Nebraska City early in her career. That work progressed to an important position as an Assistant Physical Therapist at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha in the early ‘80’s. Finally, she found her permanent work family at The Urology Center in Omaha for close to two decades and enjoyed the many positions that she held working for that medical facility.

She retired at her home south of Papillion with her loving family. She showed horses part-time and loved the horse world and its many social activities. She continued to help local animal shelters and donated to several animal rescues.

A celebration of remembrance will be held at a later date by the family.
