Matthew Williamson, 35, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Gillette, left us much too early to be with the Lord on the 5th of January 2022 due to complications from heart surgery the 10th of November 2021.
Matthew was born in Columbus, Mississippi, on March 19, 1986, and lived, as an USAF dependent in Wittering, England, Rapid City, South Dakota, Mountain Home, Idaho, Windsor, Missouri, and Gillette, Wyoming.
Matt was a mischievous child whose claim to fame was running a tractor into the side of the house amongst other acts of mischief too numerous to mention.
Matthew joined the U.S. Army in 2005, was stationed in Germany and Fort Sam Houston, Texas, while he was in the care of Brooks Army Hospital in San Antonio and was subsequently medically retired in 2010.
Matthew married Melissa Stuard of Box Elder, South Dakota in 2008, they had three children, Shane, Sophia and Daniel. Post US Army, Matthew lived in Box Elder and Gillette before moving their family to Omaha in 2018.
Matthew was preceded in death by his daughter Isabella.
Matthew is survived by wife Melissa; his two sons, Shane and Daniel and daughter Sophia; parents Jim and Debbie Williamson of Gillette; parents-in-law Gary and Anna Stuard of Box Elder; paternal grandparents Lee and Sally Williamson of Torrington, Wyoming; maternal grandfather-in-law Delbert Ashlock of Box Elder; brothers Martin and Mitchell; sister Michelle Koons; sisters-in-law Jill and Rebeka; nephews Tyler, Hunter, Trevor, Zander and Gabriel; nieces Alyssa and Kayla; sisters-in-law Kathryn and Beth and brother-in-law Dylan. Matthew is also survived in England by Grandmother Alice Proud; uncles Derek Smalley and Peter Smalley; and aunts Kathy and Anita from San Angelo, Texas.
Matthew loved the Lord and testified to anyone that would listen. He will be greatly missed, and we look forward to seeing him again.
