Maurice S. "Reece" Pierce

October 25, 1959 — April 18, 2014

Reece passed away at his home in Papillion at the age of 54 years aftera courageous difficult battle with lung cancer. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Stanton Pierce and Leta I. Pierce.He graduated from theUniversity of Nebraska at Omaha and received a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Reece was employed by United Parcel Service for over thirty years. He attained a 3rd dan black belt in Karate and studied Aikido as well. He was an Advanced Open Water Diver in Scuba Diving which he loved. He completed the four year program of Theological Education for Ministry with the University of the South.He is survived by his wife Deborah D. Pierce; father James Stanton Pierce and step-mother Gladys; mother Leta I. Pierce; brother John Russell and wife Jennifer Pierce;and nephew Samuel Pierce; brother Mark Randall and wife Elizabeth Pierce; and nieces Evangeline, Ruthann, Grace, and Claire; and nephew James. Visitation with family at St. Martha's Episcopal Church (780 Pinnacle Dr. - Papillion) Friday, May 2nd, 5:00 to 7:30 p.m..
