age 46 years, of Papillion, Nebraska. Melissa passed away unexpectedly at her home in Papillion, Nebraska. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, grew up in Cozad, Nebraska, and later in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Coronado High School, El Paso, in 1988. She attended the University of Texas - El Paso, and completed her BA in English, minoring in Psychology, at the University of Nebraska - Kearney. She began her teaching career in Humboldt, Nebraska, followed by teaching at Nathan Hale Middle School in Omaha, Nebraska, and was presently an English teacher at Bryan High School in Omaha. She was an avid reader, loved flowers, swimming, and her two cats. Preceded in death by grandparents Henry Mach, Jack and Isabel Adams, and her Special Cat, Libby. Survived by husband James Ediger; parents John and Janet Adams; brother Robert J. (Lisa) Adams; maternal grandmother Melva Mach; mother-in-law Gleneice Ediger; sister-in-law Lori (Mike) McMurray; uncles Jim (Gay) Adams and Robert Mach; many in-laws and cousins. Memorial Service Saturday, February 25th, 10:00 a.m. Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials requested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
