He served in the United States Airforce for four years. Michael was an avid golfer and enjoyed training and entering dogs in various competitions in his earlier years.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Peter McCormick and his brother, John McCormick.
He is survived by his wife Tina; his children Greg (Michelle) McCormick, Michael (Melynda) McCormick, Kristin (Charlie) McCormick and Katie (Andy) McCormick; his mother Dorothy McCormick; his sister Pat Woody; and eight grandchildren: Brandon, Aiden, Taylor, Hailey, Andrew, Dylan, Khloe, and Devon.
