Norm passed away at his home in LaVista, Saturday December 31 after a year long struggle with leukemia. Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Ellerbeck and Myrtle (Sweetman) Ellerbeck-Larsen; brother and sister-in-law Gilbert and wife Jean; Survived by wife Wilda ???Willie???; sons and daughters-in-law Paul and wife Lin, John and wife Linda, Mark and wife Debra, Jim and wife Karen; twelve grandchildren Emily, Erin, Alex, Sam, Lisa and husband Chris, Natalie, Mandy and husband Nick, Jarrod, Christopher, Casey, Tyler, and Cami; two great-grandchildren Branden and Morgan; brothers and sisters-in-law Merele and wife Marian, Fred and wife Sharon, Lloyd and wife Marilyn; two stepbrothers, two stepsisters, nephews, nieces and many other relatives. Norm was dedicated to his family and believed in service to his community and church. He served eight years on the LaVista City Council, former President of the LaVista Chamber of Commerce, and numerous boards and committees. Norm served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, and dedicated his time and talents to the choir and ministry. Interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA.
