Patrick Michael Archibald, 71, of La Vista, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025. He was born on April 24, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska, to John Archibald and Patricia Sautter. As the fourth of seven children, Pat grew up in a loving household that instilled in him the values of hard work and community service.

In 1976, Pat married his beloved wife, Diana Eckerman. Together, they raised two sons, Neil, born in 1980, and Mark, born in 1985. Pat was a devoted husband and father, cherishing every moment spent with his family.
Pat's career was marked by a strong commitment to public service. He worked as an appliance repairman for Boys Town for 14 years before joining the City of La Vista, where he served as Director of Buildings and Grounds until his retirement. Pat's dedication extended beyond his professional life; he volunteered for both Boys Town and the City of La Vista Fire Departments, serving as Fire Chief for 8 years. His selfless contributions greatly impacted the community he loved.

In his free time, Pat enjoyed fishing and boating, finding peace on the water and creating cherished memories with family and friends. He also had a passion for woodworking, often crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his creativity and skill.
Pat is preceded in death by his son, Neil, his parents, John and Patricia; and his brother, Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana; his son, Mark (Miranda); his grandchildren, Payton, Noah, Myah, and Lilliana, his siblings, Karole (Bernie-deceased), Sally (Mike), John (Kris), Mike, and Rose; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Pat's legacy of kindness, service, and dedication will forever be remembered, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
