Paul F Kavulak, age 83, of Louisville, NE, passed away on August 7, 2024. He was born December 28, 1940, the oldest of three boys to Frank Kavulak and Wilhelmina (Weverka) Kavulak. He attended South High before joining the United States Marine Corps, serving as a combat engineer for 3 years. He loved to wear his Marine Corps emblem attire any chance he could as a proud reminder of his love for the Corps. After leaving the Marine Corps, Paul married Mary Alice Ojeski on April 8, 1961 at St. Adalberts Catholic Church. He worked for Ojeski & Sons construction helping build houses, including one for himself and Mary Alice where they lived together for 40 years. Together they had 2 sons, Paul and Mark. In 1963 he joined the Omaha Police Department where he would serve a dedicated and loyal 28 years before retiring as a Sergeant. After retirement from OPD, Paul and Mary Alice moved to the Branson area where they had honeymooned. They fulfilled their dream of living together in a log home where family and friends enjoyed visiting them. Their three grandchildren enjoyed spending time with them each summer and visiting Dick’s 5 & 10 and Silver Dollar City. After his beloved Mary Alice passed, he moved back to Omaha to be closer to family. He would spend the remainder of his years living with family and helping to raise his grandchildren. Known to many as “Senior”, Paul would become instrumental in the opening and continuing support of Nebraska Brewing Company. Hanging out at the pub and doing odd jobs was no strange thing for Paul. He enjoyed his Cardinal Pale Ale (named after the Cardinal bar owned by his mother and step-father) while making countless friends and memories over the years. Senior’s legacy will live on forever in the hearts of everyone he met there. He enjoyed playing pranks, watching sports, woodworking and collecting antiques and antique tools. He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Wilhelmina (Peggy) & Harold Lankton and father Frank Kavulak: mother-in law and father-in-law George and Hazel Ojeski; brothers Lance Corporal John H Kavulak USMC and Daniel J Kavulak; brothers-in-law George Ojeski; Steve Walls, and wife Mary Alice Kavulak, the one true love of his life.
