Raymond "Doyle" Andersen

October 15, 1934 — February 5, 2022

Raymond Doyle Andersen was born to Alfred & Helen Andersen on October 15, 1934.
He was raised in Blair, Nebraska with his 4 siblings, Dale, Betty, Laura & Lois.

He enlisted in the United States Navy during his Senior year of high school, where he proudly served in the Korean War.

Five children followed his first marriage, Daniel, Pamela, Shelly, Terry & Michael. He married Fanchon in 1974. His daughter Mardell was born the following year. He is a papa to 8 grandchildren: Angie, Jeremiah, Logan, Shelby, Nicholas, Luciano, Angelo & Salvatore.

Doyle logged millions of miles as a truck driver. He ended his career with Pentzein, where he hauled heavy dredging equipment across the country to job sites. He retired in 1998.

He had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, gardening & wood working. Doyle enjoyed sports & playing cards.

In recent years, he suffered the effects of diabetes & renal failure. In true Doyle fashion he fought hard until the very end.
He passed away peacefully at home.

A special thanks to all healthcare workers, especially those at the VA Medical Center & St Croix Hospice Care.

His earthly remains will be laid to rest following a private ceremony at the Omaha National Cemetery, which will take place at a later date.
