Richard S. Ciurej

age 82, January 2, 2011 Omaha. Father Ciurej was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Omaha June 5, 1954. He served as associate pastor of St. Rose and St. Stanislaus parishes both in Omaha, and Sacred Heart parish in Norfolk. His first assignment as pastor was at St. Stanislaus in Duncan. He also served as pastor at both St. Peter in Fullerton and St. Peter in Omaha. Preceded in death by parents John and Bernice, brothers Ted and Leonard Ciurej, sister Stella Bryg, nephew Robert Ciurej Survived by nephews Ronald Bryg, Gary, Donald, Leonard, and James Ciurej niece Rita Dubik special friend Stefan Kaczor Interment St. John Cemetery. Memorials requested to St. Stanislaus Church.
